  50th wedding anniversary meal celebration on a Saturday night and no complaints! The server waiting our table built a rapport very quickly and nothing was too much trouble.

  One of the best pubs I have eaten in, large choice of food, good kids menu and a beautiful pub down a lovely country lane.

  A welcoming arrival followed by almost consistent disappointed. We were shown to our table and offered drinks. The first 3 choices were not available! Once we finally got a drink (Stella and Mulled wine) they were ok as you would expect. On to the mains. I ordered the 'Hog Roast Burger" supposedly consisting of a 6 oz Gammon steak, a 4oz pork and black pepper burger , topped with pulled pork, crackling, apple sauce and a dip.
  1. The Gammon steak is not a Gammon Steak, rather a reformed burger of questionable origin.(possibly Iceland) 2
  The 4oz black pepper and pork burger was more like a very low key sausage patty. 3. There was no apple sauce. 4. They accompanying chips tasted like they had been fried in old oil. The only plus side was the pint of Stella which was great.

  Disappointing gastro-pub. This place has the potential to be at least 4 stars, but service is poor. The location and layout are great, with a warm, bright and contemporary country feel to the place. The Holly Bush uses several distinct partitioned areas set on different levels, to give an inclusive feel with the rest of the establishment but with an element of privacy. The food is decent, with a generous number of choices from the menu. However, while the staff try their very best, management need to employ more. Long waiting times for everything and lack of attentiveness, makes the experience drag.
